PARKING/
On Thursday and Friday, all busses and visitors should park at Parking Oost (this is at the corner of van der Hoop laan and Sportlaan. (It is located between ISA and the JV Soccer site). It is only a few hundred meters walk. On Saturday all busses and visitors are welcome to park at the ISA parking lot.

VISITOR BADGES/
Visitors (who are not players or coaches) need to sign in at the entrance of the ISA US gym to receive a day pass to visit the NECIS tournament. Entrance into the main building will not be allowed.

The Livestream link will be added to this page a few days before the tournament.

FORMAT/

GAME RULES/

• All International Volleyball rules apply.

• JV only: By the end of the third set, every JV player MUST have played one complete set (from the beginning to the end of a set, without being substituted).

• Only 2 timeouts per set/per team. No technical time-outs.

• A net serve is allowed.

• JV and Varsity teams have the optional use of the “Libero” position.

• Matches shall be decided by the best of five sets with each set being scored to 25 points using the rally-point system, except 5th set which shall be scored to 15 points.

• ALL PLATE COMPETITION GAMES will be played as best of 5 sets to 15 points.

• In all matches, a team must win by two clear points in each set.

• In the league stage: 2 points per win, 0 points for a loss.

TIES/

In the event of a TWO TEAM TIE at the end of the League stage: The result of the mutual game shall decide which team advances to the next stage of the competition.

In the event of a THREE TEAM TIE at the end of the League stage: The following rules apply in order to determine which team advances to the next stage:
1. Sets won minus sets lost from mutual games.
2. Most sets won from mutual games.
3. Score difference: points scored minus points conceded from mutual games.
4. Most points scored from mutual games.
5. Sets won minus sets lost from all group games.
6. Most sets won from all group games.
7. Score difference: points scored minus points conceded from all groups games.
8. Most points scored from all group games.

GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE/

When a coach has a complaint, please contact the Tournament – or Site Director first! She/He will take it to the grievance committee if necessary!

Every player will receive a tournament patch.
Team trophies will be awarded to those schools finishing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Medals will be awarded to all players on a team finishing in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th place.
A team trophy will be awarded to the plate winner.

SIMON SCHILP AWARD/
In addition 1 Volleyball player out of the whole NECIS Volleyball tournament will be awarded the Simon Schilp award. The winner is chosen by the coaches.

Lunch will be provided for the teams and coaches. Other refreshments will be on sale throughout the tournament.

All players are advised to bring their own water bottle. There will be no bottles of water being offered at the NECIS tournament. Water from the taps in Holland is perfectly drinkable.

STUDENTS/

Tournament participants and their parents will be informed by their AD as to where they are staying.
